Dispute over reimbursement of rental deposit (title moderated)

We stayed in this house the first 2 weeks of August 2012. During the stay, the landlord was very friendly and helpful. We thought that we had found a perfect house for our holidays. Which we did, until we asked for the reimbursement of our rental deposit. Suddenly, the landlord came up with all types of damages, broken stuff... Yes, we broke a glass and stepped on a plant, but damage for € 200? Never. I even asked for pictures of the damage but did not get any answer. This is just a way for the landlord to raise his rental price and his profit. For us, it's too late, we probably will never see our money back, but I hope that by posting this, others will be saved from this shame!

Stayed for 1 week. Nice clean house with a lovely view out back from kitchen window and table on upper terrace. Unfortunately, the upstairs balcony is on the front of the house. Some intermittent noise from the children's play area over the road. Very well located to explore the area. Lovely beaches 10 minutes drive away just beyond St Vicente de la Barquera and good sea food restaurants. Nice local river walk at the bottom of the road. 1 hour and 30 minutes drive to Fuent De in the Picos.
